Job Search Tip of the Day: Make a change

If you have been job searching for a while you may feel as if you get up every day and beat your head against the wall. It is easy to get in a rut and hard to break a habit, but it is possible!

You may want to change things up a bit to combat any of the following:

  1. Lack of response to your applications or submissions
  2. Each day is a blur of the same activities
  3. You are not sure exactly what you did or accomplished
  4. Time seems to fly by without much feeling of success or accomplishment
  5. You are dreading approaching your job search today
Sometimes just making a simple change can breathe new life into your day. Try one or more of these tips to see if that helps:

  • Take a different route to walk or run errands
  • Change the order of how you usually do things
  • Do something different to start your day
  • Pay close attention to the quality of what you are doing
  • Dress as if for an interview or business meeting
  • Exercise
What other things can you try to change things up today? Let me know!
