I think we all can remember an occasion when we ASSUMED something with the usual results - we know that when we ASSUME some thing we usually make an A$$ out of U and ME..Not so funny in a job search, interview, or employment situation!

ASSUME

Dictionary.com defines it as a verb: 

                                  to take for granted or without proof

Do you really think it is a good idea to assume you know what an employer is looking for in an employee?  What an interviewer is asking you?  What your boss needs? Of course not!

So, in your job search, your work, your interview today - think, ask, research - do what it takes to make sure you don't ASSUME with the usual results.
