USE A STANDARD LETTERHEAD

No need for anything fancy, paid for, or hard.  Just a consistent banner and footer (or signature) is enough to add to your personal brand.  Just as your statements, written and verbal, should build your personal brand - so should your correspondence!

The easiest approach is to echo your resume header and use that for your letterhead banner.  You can copy and paste this to a word document and save it as letterhead.  Use this document for any and all correspondence.

By having a consistent letterhead, a reader will immediately recognize your attention to detail and thoughtfulness about your correspondence.  Depending upon your profession, you may want to fashion your letterhead to reflect certain qualities:  Artistic, Scientific, Realistic, and or Basic, for example.

A letterhead or heading usually contains your name, title and contact information.  There is not a lot of room for communicating anything more than an impression beyond this utilitarian information. Your complimentary close, however, offers you the opportunity to communicate a genuine feeling such as caring, concern, hope, faith, respect, etc.

Develop a personal and meaningful sign off or signature.  I use:  Take care and talk to you soon!  This simple statement communicates to others that I care about them/their well-being and that I want to interact with them in the future.  I hope it is comforting and welcoming.

Think about the impression you want to give when "leaving" a correspondent. How do you typically close your correspondence?  What complimentary closures have you seen that appeal to you?  Make it personal, whatever you do!
