How to Greet Panel Members in an Interview

TUESDAY TIP
A job seeker recently asked how to greet panel members in an interview he was anticipating.  My answer:

This is a little difficult to answer as it depends on so much! The level of the position, how the panel is assembled, which interview it is, etc.  But, it is always important to

1) Make direct eye contact
2) Acknowledge the panel members introduction (with a firm nod, for example)
3) Repeat the person's name aloud to increase your chances of remembering
4) Repeat your name if it is difficult to pronounce or there is a chance the panel member might not have heard it
5) Smile and breathe!

Hope this helps...
